Alien - Sigourney's breasts
Sigourney's breasts -- there's a shot of Sigourney in the sleep pods with her breasts exposed that caused quite a stir. Pat, Sigourney's father, was a very powerful NBC big-wig, and she and her family had a lot of money, so when Sigourney got upset and threatened to sue us if the shot was released, needless to say, it was nixed.

That's so strange to hear. Reading the interviews from the time of the film's release, Sigourney seemed disappointed that the scenes of crew nudity -including her own- were nixed. I suppose after the nude scenes were cut she made overtures to make sure stills didn't leak to the press, given the obviously sensitive material. Is that right?
